Act I, in which they fall in love.
Act II, in which he is made redundant and moves into her home.
Act III, in which they fight.
Fighting continues into acts IV and V; both characters have various birthdays.
Act VI, the final act, in which he gets a job and, now able to afford to live alone, leaves her. This is the only act with dance: a musical number reinterpreting the couple’s final fight as a series of flips, cartwheels, and forwards rolls. The audience watches in awe as he back handsprings away from her, into his new life.
Very clever. Thinking of writing my own version ❤️
